A note from the counselors:

Mission: Ensuring all students thrive emotionally, strengthen socially, and
embrace resilience as a cornerstone of personal and academic growth.
Vision: To empower each student to positively impact the world.

Middle school is such an important time of growth, and we are here to walk alongside your child every step of the way. Our goal is to help students feel supported emotionally, build strong friendships, and develop the resilience they need to handle life’s challenges with confidence. As one community, we believe every student has the potential to shine, and we are excited to partner with you in helping your child succeed both in school and beyond.

Did you know?

Suicide Prevention Month

This month, our school is focusing on suicide prevention and mental health. Students will take part in a program called SOS Signs of Suicide, which helps them learn how to recognize signs of depression and what to do if they are worried about themselves or a friend.

Only students who received parent permission during registration will participate in these lessons.

Through this program, students will learn:
  • That depression is treatable and help is available
  • How to recognize warning signs in themselves or others
  • To ACT: Acknowledge, Care, Tell a trusted adult
  • Who at school they can go to for help

Students will watch short, age-appropriate videos and join guided discussions about mental health, suicide prevention, and the importance of reaching out for support.

SB 12-School Counseling Health Care Services

Crandall ISD has shared an important message through Skyward regarding the SB 12 – School Counseling Health Care Services consent forms. We kindly ask all parents/guardians to log in to Skyward and complete these forms as soon as possible.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this, it makes a big difference!

EduGuide

We are excited to share that our students are participating in EduGuide, a program designed to build social-emotional skills while encouraging positive behaviors and strong connections with others.
Each Wednesday during 4th period, students engage in EduGuide activities. In every lesson, they learn a new skill and then choose a challenge to use that skill to help someone else. This simple formula blends social-emotional learning, restorative practices, and positive behaviors—all while preparing students for college and career success.

Through EduGuide, students:
  • Practice reflection during weekly activities.
  • Build a habit of mentoring others throughout the week.
  • Develop resilience and a sense of purpose to persist toward their goals.
  • Strengthen belonging in a learning community that encourages every student to shine.
Over time, these habits nurture growth, persistence, and a supportive school culture—what we call a community of purpose.

Thank you for partnering with us to help our students grow not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
